And in the end, it won't really matter, because there will always be people complaining about it.

Well, the gap between Orks and Komalis Protector is now much greater...so Kurzick faction is now pointless.

(Except for me, I have to farm it! )

The only thought I have on this is that as loud as people bitched about not being able to enter elite missions, we now have 2 controlling Alliances willing to ferry people and you complain that now Faction is useless?

Why is Faction useless? Because people ferrying has made it useless.

Would you rather that only the controlling Alliance could enter? Ferrying could be made impossible pretty easily.

I think Alliance Faction should be reset periodically. That way, if an alliance wants to control a town, they don't always have to gather Faction in the multimillions.

Some people are unbelievable, first they are nagging that the elite mission are to exclusive, and now when you can getin at any given moment they start nagging about the fact that its not exclusive anymore.

And there is a point to owning a town and this is the whole reason you are trying to even get a town its a thing called "pride"

X(set amount) amount of faction gives an alliance controll of an outpost or town, then when all outpost's and towns are ownd the controlling alliances fight in alliance battles for controll of the capitol, winning alliance gets to own the capitol for 1 week and get the income from acces to elit missions.
alliances get something for there work and everyone can go to the missions.

Just an idea that needs more work, but would make alliance battles mean something, and would make owning a capitol worth something. Say they get XXX faction for everyone entering the mission witch means they get 1 week whithout farming factions and will still be able to defend there ownership in the next "Capitol battle".

Is that really unbelievable for them to raise an issue about this?

What other alternative is there? It is the lesser of two evils, that stemmed from the fact that ANET delivered a piss-poor system in the first place.

Factions a resounding success? Yeah right. Sales figures don't mean <expletive>.

This pretty much sums it up.

It's a video game. Do what floats your boat. Enjoy yourself. Have fun.

so you would argue that faction grinding is either self fulfilling or not and compare that with video gaming as a whole?

that's a poor argument
